As part of the 2022-2023 academic program, Project JA SparktheDream organized the Social Innovation Challenge for students.
The competition provides a platform where students can leverage their financial management knowledge to develop fresh initiatives for social issues. Out of nearly 200 entries from secondary schools nationwide, Lac Hong Bilingual School’s students had 4 projects awarded the Special Prize in the Nationals, advancing to the Asia-Pacific Regionals in October.
Project “Wear it Forward: Donate Old Clothes and Books for Children in Disadvantaged Areas” by the team of Hoang Thai Duong, Nguyen Trong Dan, and Truong Thuy Vang Anh.
Project “Gifts for the Future: Support Disadvantaged Children’s Education” by the team of Le Ngoc Anh Thu, Nguyen Song Hoang Uyen, Truong Bao Son, and Do Gia Uy.
Project “Green Cloth Bag” by the team of Le Van Dong, Nguyen Gia Han, Nguyen Phuc Hai, Nguyen Thanh An, and Tran Hoang Gia Bao.
Project “Orphan Care Initiative” by the team of Phan Tien Khang, Tran Gia Khang, Vu Ngoc Quynh Huong, and Dao Trung Hieu.
Following the achievements of the Solve for Tomorrow 2022 competition, this year’s Lac Hong Bilingual School teams also successfully claimed their place in the TOP 20 and officially advanced to the Project Development round. This result is a recognition of the creative efforts and continuous growth of the two teams:
Team HEROES AND ZEROS: Le Ngoc Thanh Tuyen, Phan Thuy Lam, Tran Phuong Anh, and Pham Manh Duc with the idea of “Smart doors with built-in facial recognition and support for RFID cards, fingerprints, and codes.”
Team THE LITTLE SEEDS: Nguyen Dang Minh Thu and Tran Le Quynh Anh with the idea of “Healthcare – Bracelet, an application to support a healthy lifestyle.”
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (21/9/1973 – 21/9/2023), the Vietnam-Japan Association collaborated with the Children’s House of Dong Nai Province to organize a painting competition on the theme of “Celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Japan and Vietnam” in 2023.
Our brilliant student, Le Thien Di won the Third Prize with a unique artwork fully encapsulating the beautiful meaning of the friendly cooperation between the two countries.
Lac Hong Bilingual School congratulates Nguyen Ngoc Quynh Mai, a student from class 4F, for winning the Gold Medal in the team category of the Youth Chess Championship 2023, Dong Nai Province. We hope this achievement will further motivate our Gold Medalist to thrive in future competitions, inspiring a love and passion for this intellectual sport to all students.
With their unique “Treehouse Model” project, the group of 4 students and their instructor won the Third Prize in the 2023 Innovation Contest for Children and Teenagers in Bien Hoa City.
